Block Management

Jordans Block Management Department mainly deal with blocks of flats for residents associations, management companies and limited companies.

The management of blocks is an area of property management that requires knowledge and experience in dealing with the legal formalities both when there is a change of ownership of a unit within a block and in dealing with the necessary Companies House requirements if the block is a Limited Company.

The collection of Service Charges and recording all disbursements from the block accounts. Producing statements of accounts and producing these annually at the AGM.

 

 

Block Management would include:

  • All of the day to day running of the block, dealing with cleaners, gardening and the paying of communal accounts
  • Keeping accounts and submitting accounts to the association or auditor
  • Dealing with and maintaining buildings insurance for the block
  • Dealing with solicitors upon the sale of a unit within the block
  • Regular inspections of the building and advising on repairs and long term maintenance
  • Submitting returns to Companies House on behalf of the Directors
  • Arranging the Annual General Meeting (AGM), (EGMs) and intermediate meetings if required.
